Jerri-Ann Berry Danso (she/her)

Jerri is a data analyst who draws from over six years of higher education assessment experience, mainly through her work in career services, academic affairs, and now, Student Life Assessment and Research. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (major in Management), a master’s in Student Personnel in Higher Education, and a second master’s degree in Research and Evaluation Methodology. She is currently in pursuit of a PhD in the same field. Over the years, she has worked on career outcomes data through the University of Florida’s centralized career center, and on pharmacy education data through UF’s College of Pharmacy. In her role at the University of Florida, Jerri incorporated into her everyday work her enthusiasm for assessment, passion for learning, and commitment to building assessment capacity within the Division of Student Life.

Jerri approaches her research and assessment work through a culturally responsive and critical lens, seeking to uncover and address biases in traditional methodologies. Her commitment to a critical approach guides her in designing research that not only values diverse perspectives but also examines how quantitative methods can both reveal and reinforce inequities. She is dedicated to methodologies that uplift and reflect the unique cultural contexts of the communities she works with, ensuring that assessments are inclusive, relevant, and truly representative

Jerri is the former Assistant Director of Assessment and Research within the Division of Student Life at the University of Florida. She recently left this position to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy, Evaluation, Statistics, and Methodology degree from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.
