Statement of Organizational Values

  • Anti-Racism is a guiding framework that requires every person within our firm to invest in interrogating the way white supremacy influences the decisions we make and the way we show up in this work.

  • It is our fundamental belief that ableism is a tool of white supremacy designed to erase and oppress persons with physical and mental disabilities. We engage in this work in a way that is inclusive and celebratory of persons

    with disabilities. We believe that disability justice requires us to move beyond ADA-compliance into disability justice, accessibility and inclusion.

  • Xenophobia is an inherently harmful practice that erases the colonial history behind global migration. It is our belief that immigrants belong wherever they live, and it is the duty of everyone who rejects nationalism to embrace, welcome and accommodate the needs of all immigrants.

  •  Our practice is rooted in the understanding that gender is a social construct with very real implications. Thus, every person, but particularly cisgender persons, are required to engage in the work of unlearning gender stereotypes, rejecting the harmful implications of the gender binary, respecting gender expansive people and embracing gender diversity.

  • It is our fundamental belief that the racist and ableist  implications as well as the impending harm to future generations of climate change, climate gentrification, and climate migration makes environmental justice a key tenet of DEIAB work. Further, as settlers on Turtle Island (North America), it is our absolute and foremost duty to be responsible steward of the land and heed to our indigenous comrades’ directives to guard and protect the environment.

  •  It is our belief that the purpose of DEIAB work is to ensure that persons of minoritized identities feel seen and supported and allies are empowered to use their privileges for our collective liberation. We believe ending discrimination and oppression in all forms is beneficial for all and mutually synergistic.
